Agent setup guide

LinkedIn Thought-Leadership Ghostwriter

Mark a Notion notes page Ready: two LinkedIn drafts in your own voice, you approve one, and it's posted as you.

Available About 20 min to set up

What it does

Mark a Notion notes page Ready: two LinkedIn drafts in your own voice, you approve one, and it's posted as you.

  • Starts when you set a page in your founder-notes Notion database to Stage Ready (the database has Name (title) and Stage (select: Idea, Ready, Drafting, Posted, Not posted); checked every few minutes) and marks it Drafting.
  • Reads the notes and a page of LinkedIn posts you wrote yourself, and AI drafts two posts in your voice, one story-led and one point-led, using only the ideas and facts in your notes.
  • You pick and edit a draft in Reviews; nothing is posted before you approve.
  • Code checks the length (3000 characters) and leftover placeholders; then it's posted on LinkedIn as you and the page is marked Posted with the link and the final text.

What it needs

  • A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
  • An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
  • Notion and LinkedIn, connected in Settings → Integrations.
  • A Notion database for your notes (Name (title) and Stage (select: Idea, Ready, Drafting, Posted, Not posted)) and a page with a few of your own LinkedIn posts, shared with Fluxo Flow.

What it doesn't do

  • Nothing is posted without your approval.
  • It posts as you only: not to company pages. Text only, no images, documents or polls.
  • It doesn't schedule posts: they go out when you approve.
  • It doesn't reply to comments or read your LinkedIn feed.

Availability and plans

Available

Its workflow is built and tested, and every app it needs is live. You can get it and set it up now.

Included free on the Enterprise plan; on other paid plans it's a one-time purchase per workspace (the price is on the Agents page). The Agents page in the app always shows its current status.

Before you start

  • A paid plan: agents run live, and the Free plan only runs Dry Runs.
  • An AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more) in Settings → AI Providers. AI usage is billed by your provider.
  • These apps, connected in Settings → Integrations: Notion and LinkedIn.
  • The app it watches, connected in Settings → Integrations (the agent starts from an app event).
  • About 20 minutes.

Set it up step by step

Get the agent first (buy it, or it's already yours when your plan includes it), then in Agents → My agents press “Set up this agent”. That creates the agent's workflow in your workspace (it counts towards your plan's workflow limit) and opens the canvas with a setup checklist above it. Each item links to the exact place to go and ticks itself off when it's done.

1. Connect your AI provider

The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.

2. Connect Notion

Connect the Notion workspace with your notes database and voice page (Settings → Integrations → Notion).

3. Connect LinkedIn

Connect your LinkedIn account in Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn.

4. Pick your notes database

Open the trigger and pick your Notion account and the founder-notes database (Name (title) and Stage (select: Idea, Ready, Drafting, Posted, Not posted)).

8. Test it with Dry Run

Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.

9. Switch the trigger on

Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: edits to the database are checked every few minutes. Set a page's Stage to Ready to get a draft.

How it works

The agent is a normal workflow with 17 steps (1 AI step, with a person approving in Reviews). You can open, edit and monitor it like any other workflow.

  • Notes page changed — Starts on “New or updated page in database” in Notion (an app event). Starts when a page in your founder-notes database in Notion is added or edited (checked every few minutes). The database has Name (title) and Stage (select: Idea, Ready, Drafting, Posted, Not posted); only pages you set to Stage “Ready” are drafted.
  • Stage is Ready? — Step. In code: the page's Stage says Ready (any capitalisation). Pages at any other stage are left alone.
  • Draft it? — Decision: picks the branch to follow. Only pages at Stage Ready are drafted; edits to other pages are ignored.
  • Not ready — Kept in the run history. Branch: Not ready. The page isn't at Stage Ready, so nothing happens.
  • Mark it Drafting — Notion: Update page properties. Branch: Ready. Sets the page's Stage to Drafting, so further edits don't start another draft.
  • Read the notes — Notion: Read a page's text. Reads the text of the notes page: bullets, a story, a voice-memo summary, links.
  • Read your voice samples — Notion: Read a page's text. Reads your Notion page with a few LinkedIn posts you wrote yourself, so the drafts sound like you.
  • Draft the LinkedIn post — AI step (runs on your AI provider key). AI turns the notes into two LinkedIn post drafts in your voice (from your samples), keeping only the ideas and facts in the notes, and recommends one.
  • Approve the post — A person approves or rejects it in Reviews (the run waits). Both drafts wait in Reviews: copy the one you like into json.post (or edit it), then approve to post it on LinkedIn as you. Reject to post nothing.
  • Check before posting — Step. Branch: Approved. In code: the post is there, fits LinkedIn's 3000 characters and has no leftover placeholders.
  • Passed the checks? — Decision: picks the branch to follow. Passed: posted on LinkedIn. Otherwise nothing is posted and the page is marked Not posted.
  • Mark it Not posted — Notion: Update page properties. Branch: Rejected / Held. Sets the page's Stage to Not posted (rejected, or the post failed a check). Set it back to Ready for a new draft.
  • Post on LinkedIn — LinkedIn: Create a post. Branch: Post. Publishes the approved post as you, visible to anyone on LinkedIn.
  • Mark it Posted — Notion: Update page properties. Sets the page's Stage to Posted.
  • Add the link to the page — Notion: Add content to a page. Adds the LinkedIn post link and the posted text at the end of the notes page.
  • Posted — Kept in the run history. The run history keeps both drafts and the post link.
  • Not posted — Kept in the run history. The page is marked Not posted.

Test it with Dry Run

Press Dry Run in the canvas. The agent runs on the sample data stored on its trigger (the “Sample data for Dry Run” box), so you can check every step's output before anything is live. The sample has the same shape as a real event from the app.

Sample data fields

id, url, properties.Name, properties.Stage, created_time, last_edited_time, last_edited_by.

  • Nothing is sent or written: app actions, emails and Slack posts are simulated, and AI steps don't call your AI provider.
  • Approval steps use the Dry Run decision you pick in the step's settings (approved, rejected or timeout), so you can try each branch.

Go live

  • Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: edits to the database are checked every few minutes. Set a page's Stage to Ready to get a draft.
  • Activating the app trigger needs the trigger's connected account. The first check only remembers what's already there, so older items don't start runs; the same item never starts two runs.
  • The setup checklist adds a “paid plan” item before activation: live runs need a paid plan (the Free plan only runs Dry Runs).
  • When every checklist item is done and the trigger is on, the checklist says “Live — this agent is running”. Follow its runs in the workflow's History tab and in Analytics → Agents.

Questions

How does it know my voice?

From a Notion page with a few posts you wrote yourself (the more typical, the better), plus the rules you write. It never posts without your approval, so you always have the last word.

Will it make up stories or numbers?

It's told to use only the ideas, names and numbers in your notes, and every draft waits for your review.

Can it post to a company page?

No. It posts as you (the connected LinkedIn member); company pages need a separate LinkedIn approval.

Troubleshooting

  • “No AI provider connected” or a rejected key: connect or fix the key in Settings → AI Providers, then press Test there.
  • A checklist item stays unticked: the setting is still empty or still contains its placeholder text. Open the step from the checklist and fill it in.
  • An app step fails with “Needs reconnect”: the account's access was revoked or expired. Reconnect it in Settings → Integrations.
  • No runs start: activate the app trigger with a connected account. Only items created after activation start runs.
  • A run shows as paused: it's waiting for someone in Reviews to approve or reject it.
  • A step failed: open the run in History and check that step in the Trace tab for the error and what it received.
