Error messages reference
Common error messages, what they mean, and how to fix them.
Access errors
| Code | Message | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| unauthorized (401) | Your session expired | Sign in again. Unsaved canvas edits stay in the tab. |
| forbidden (403) | You don't have permission to do that | Ask a workspace owner or admin to change your role. |
| captcha_failed (403) | We couldn't verify you're human | Complete the check again, then retry. |
| not_found (404) | That item no longer exists | It may have been deleted. Refresh the page. |
Input errors

| bad_request (400) | Some information is missing or invalid | Check the highlighted fields and try again. |
| validation_failed (400) | Some fields are invalid | The message names the fields that failed. Fix them and submit again. |
| conflict (409) | That already exists or was changed by someone else | Refresh to see the latest version, then try again. |
Plan, AI and service errors
| Code | Message | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| rate_limited (429) | You're doing that too often | Wait a few seconds and try again. |
| plan_limit (402) | You've reached your plan's limit | Delete something you no longer use, add extra seats or the workflow pack in Settings → Billing → Add-ons, or upgrade. |
| card_declined (402) | Your card was declined | Use a different card or contact your bank. |
| ai_key_missing | No AI provider connected | Connect an AI provider in Settings → AI Providers. |
| ai_key_invalid | Your AI provider key was rejected | Check the key is correct and active, then replace it in Settings → AI Providers. |
| ai_quota_exceeded | Your AI provider account is out of credit | Add billing or credit with your provider, or connect a different key. |
| ai_rate_limited (429) | Your AI provider is rate-limiting requests | Wait a few seconds and try again. |
| ai_upstream (502) | The AI service had an error | Try again shortly; check your provider's status page. |
| integration_expired (401) | Your connection expired | Reconnect it in Settings → Integrations. |
| oauth_failed (400) | Couldn't connect that account | Try connecting again and approve every permission requested. |
| encrypt_failed (500) | We couldn't securely store that secret | Nothing was saved. Try again, or contact support if it keeps happening. |
| workflow_save_failed (500) | We couldn't save the workflow | Your edits are still on screen. Press Cmd/Ctrl + S to try again. |
| not_implemented / feature_unavailable | This feature isn't available yet | Contact support if you need it enabled for your workspace. |
Workflow runs also stop with a clear message if they pass the per-run limits (about 50 seconds, or $2 of estimated AI cost). Error messages include an error ID — quote it when you contact support.
