Workflow panel
The canvas side panel — validation, guide, trace, inspector, metrics, runs, compare and versions.
What it is
The workflow panel is the side panel on the canvas. Open or close it with the Workflow Panel button in the top bar or Cmd/Ctrl + K. It covers the whole workflow: checks before you run, what happened in a run, and history. Node settings are separate — double-click a node to edit it.
Tabs

| Trace | The step-by-step path of the selected run. |
| Inspector | Inputs, outputs and schema for the selected node in that run. |
| Metrics | For a chosen run: duration, steps, slowest nodes, AI token use. |
| Runs | This workflow's run history (manual, scheduled and webhook runs). |
| Compare | Choose Run A and Run B to see them side by side with the differences. |
| Versions | Saved snapshots: save a labelled version, restore, delete or export as a .fluxo.json file. |
Common tasks
- Debug a failed run — Runs → pick the run → Trace to find the failing step → Inspector for its input and error.
- Tune an AI step — double-click the node, change the prompt or model, Dry Run, then check Metrics after a real Run.
- Undo a bad change — Versions → Restore on an earlier version.
- See what changed between two runs — Compare → pick Run A and Run B.
Common questions
Trace or Inspector is empty
No run is selected, or the selected run never reached that node (for example a Router sent it another way). Pick a run in the Runs tab and check the Trace to see which path it took.
A scheduled or webhook run isn't in the list
Background runs are queued and start within about a minute. Refresh the Runs tab after a minute; if it's still missing, check that the trigger is activated.
