Agent setup guide
Live Stream Announcer
When your Twitch stream goes live, a short announcement with your link goes to Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Discord and Telegram, after your approval or at once.
What it does
When your Twitch stream goes live, a short announcement with your link goes to Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Discord and Telegram, after your approval or at once.
- Starts each time your Twitch channel goes live (checked every few minutes).
- AI writes a short announcement per network from the stream's title and category, with your channel link, in your voice.
- By default the announcements wait for your approval (high priority); with AUTO-POST: yes in your rules they go out at once.
- Code checks each one (present, within its limit, no leftover placeholders); then it posts to Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, a Discord channel and a Telegram chat, only the ones you connected.
What it needs
- A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
- An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
- Twitch, connected in Settings → Integrations.
- At least one of Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Discord or Telegram, connected in Settings → Integrations (the steps for a network you don't connect are skipped).
What it doesn't do
- Twitch only: it doesn't watch YouTube or Kick streams.
- Not instant: Twitch is checked every few minutes.
- Text only: no clips, thumbnails or images.
- It doesn't post when the stream ends or delete announcements afterwards.
Availability and plans
Available
Its workflow is built and tested, and every app it needs is live. You can get it and set it up now.
Included free on the Enterprise plan; on other paid plans it's a one-time purchase per workspace (the price is on the Agents page). The Agents page in the app always shows its current status.
Before you start
- A paid plan: agents run live, and the Free plan only runs Dry Runs.
- An AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more) in Settings → AI Providers. AI usage is billed by your provider.
- These apps, connected in Settings → Integrations: Twitch, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Discord and Telegram.
- The app it watches, connected in Settings → Integrations (the agent starts from an app event).
- About 15 minutes.
Set it up step by step
Get the agent first (buy it, or it's already yours when your plan includes it), then in Agents → My agents press “Set up this agent”. That creates the agent's workflow in your workspace (it counts towards your plan's workflow limit) and opens the canvas with a setup checklist above it. Each item links to the exact place to go and ticks itself off when it's done.
1. Connect your AI provider
The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
2. Connect Twitch
Connect your Twitch channel in Settings → Integrations → Twitch.
3. Connect the networks you announce on
Connect the ones you post to (Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Discord, Telegram) in Settings → Integrations. One is enough; the steps for a network you don't connect are skipped.
4. Pick your Twitch channel
Open the trigger and pick your Twitch account.
| Setting | What to enter | In step |
|---|---|---|
| Twitch account | The Twitch channel to watch. Pick your connected Twitch account. | “Your Twitch stream went live” |
5. Describe your channel
Open “Write the announcements” and replace the placeholder with your channel, tone, hashtags and the auto-post switch.
| Setting | What to enter | In step |
|---|---|---|
| Your channel and auto-post switch | Replace the placeholder with your channel, community, tone, hashtags and AUTO-POST: yes or no. It starts as “[DESCRIBE YOUR CHANNEL AND COMMUNITY, YOUR TONE, EMOJI OR NOT, HASHTAGS FOR BLUESKY / MASTODON / THREADS, AND WHETHER ANNOUNCEMENTS MAY GO OUT WITHOUT YOUR REVIEW. AUTO-POST: no]” until you replace it. | “Write the announcements” |
6. Pick where to announce
Open each posting step and pick your account (and the Discord server and channel, the Telegram chat). Leave a network empty if you don't use it: its step is skipped.
| Setting | What to enter | In step |
|---|---|---|
| Bluesky account | The Bluesky account that announces. Leave it empty if you don't use Bluesky: the step is then skipped. Pick your connected Bluesky account, or leave it empty if you don't use Bluesky (the step is then skipped). | “Post to Bluesky” |
| Mastodon account | The Mastodon account that announces. Leave it empty if you don't use Mastodon: the step is then skipped. Pick your connected Mastodon account, or leave it empty if you don't use Mastodon (the step is then skipped). | “Post to Mastodon” |
| Threads account | The Threads account that announces. Leave it empty if you don't use Threads: the step is then skipped. Pick your connected Threads account, or leave it empty if you don't use Threads (the step is then skipped). | “Post to Threads” |
| Discord connection | The Discord server connection (the Fluxo Flow bot). Leave it empty if you don't use Discord: the step is then skipped. Pick your connected Discord account, or leave it empty if you don't use Discord (the step is then skipped). | “Post in your Discord channel” |
| Discord server | The server to post in. Leave it empty if you don't use Discord: the step is then skipped. | “Post in your Discord channel” |
| Discord channel | The channel for stream announcements. Leave it empty if you don't use Discord: the step is then skipped. | “Post in your Discord channel” |
| Telegram bot | Your Telegram bot (an admin of the channel or group). Leave it empty if you don't use Telegram: the step is then skipped. Pick your connected Telegram account, or leave it empty if you don't use Telegram (the step is then skipped). | “Post in your Telegram channel” |
| Telegram channel or group | @yourchannel or the chat's numeric id. Leave it empty if you don't use Telegram: the step is then skipped. | “Post in your Telegram channel” |
7. Test it with Dry Run
Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
8. Switch the trigger on
Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: your channel is checked every few minutes.
How it works
The agent is a normal workflow with 13 steps (1 AI step, with a person approving in Reviews). You can open, edit and monitor it like any other workflow.
- Your Twitch stream went live — Starts on “Stream went live” in Twitch (an app event). Starts once each time your Twitch channel goes live (checked every few minutes).
- Write the announcements — AI step (runs on your AI provider key). AI writes a short “we're live” announcement per network from the stream's title and category, each with your channel link, in your voice.
- Review first? — Decision: picks the branch to follow. With auto-post off (the default) the announcements wait for your approval; with AUTO-POST: yes in your rules they go straight to the checks.
- Approve the announcements — A person approves or rejects it in Reviews (the run waits). Branch: Review. The announcements wait in Reviews: edit, approve to post them, or reject.
- Check before posting — Step. Branch: Auto-post / Approved. In code: every announcement is there, fits its network's limit, has no leftover placeholders and contains your channel link.
- Passed the checks? — Decision: picks the branch to follow. Passed: the announcements go out on the networks you connected. Otherwise nothing is posted.
- Held: nothing posted — Kept in the run history. Branch: Held. An announcement was blank, too long or still had a placeholder.
- Post to Bluesky — Bluesky: Create a post. Branch: Post. Skipped when Bluesky isn't connected.
- Post to Mastodon — Mastodon: Publish a post. Public post. Skipped when Mastodon isn't connected.
- Post to Threads — Threads: Publish a text post. Skipped when Threads isn't connected.
- Post in your Discord channel — Discord: Send a message. Posts with the Fluxo Flow bot in the channel you pick. Skipped when Discord isn't connected.
- Post in your Telegram channel — Telegram: Send a message. Posts with your bot in your channel or group. Skipped when Telegram isn't connected.
- Announced — Kept in the run history. The run history lists each network's result (posted, or skipped because it isn't connected).
Test it with Dry Run
Press Dry Run in the canvas. The agent runs on the sample data stored on its trigger (the “Sample data for Dry Run” box), so you can check every step's output before anything is live. The sample has the same shape as a real event from the app.
Sample data fields
title, stream_id, user_id, user_login, user_name, game_name, viewer_count, started_at, language, thumbnail_url, stream.
- Nothing is sent or written: app actions, emails and Slack posts are simulated, and AI steps don't call your AI provider.
- Approval steps use the Dry Run decision you pick in the step's settings (approved, rejected or timeout), so you can try each branch.
Go live
- Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: your channel is checked every few minutes.
- Activating the app trigger needs the trigger's connected account. The first check only remembers what's already there, so older items don't start runs; the same item never starts two runs.
- The setup checklist adds a “paid plan” item before activation: live runs need a paid plan (the Free plan only runs Dry Runs).
- When every checklist item is done and the trigger is on, the checklist says “Live — this agent is running”. Follow its runs in the workflow's History tab and in Analytics → Agents.
Questions
How fast does it post?
Twitch is checked every few minutes, so the announcement goes out a few minutes after you go live: at once with auto-post on, or when you approve.
Can it post without me?
Only if you write AUTO-POST: yes in your rules. By default every announcement waits for your approval.
Which Discord do I need?
Discord connected in Settings → Integrations (the Fluxo Flow bot in your server); pick the server and channel in the Discord step.
Troubleshooting
- “No AI provider connected” or a rejected key: connect or fix the key in Settings → AI Providers, then press Test there.
- A checklist item stays unticked: the setting is still empty or still contains its placeholder text. Open the step from the checklist and fill it in.
- An app step fails with “Needs reconnect”: the account's access was revoked or expired. Reconnect it in Settings → Integrations.
- No runs start: activate the app trigger with a connected account. Only items created after activation start runs.
- A run shows as paused: it's waiting for someone in Reviews to approve or reject it.
- A step failed: open the run in History and check that step in the Trace tab for the error and what it received.
