Agent setup guide

SEO Rankings Review & Content Gap Finder

Weekly AI review of your Search Console rankings, with content briefs filed to Notion.

Available About 20 min to set up

What it does

Weekly AI review of your Search Console rankings, with content briefs filed to Notion.

  • Every Monday, reads the Google Sheet tab holding your latest Search Console or rank tracker export.
  • AI finds ranking drops (when the sheet has a previous-period column), page-two quick wins, top-5 queries with weak click-through, and topics no page covers, quoting the numbers from your sheet.
  • Writes three prioritized article briefs (title, target query, intent, outline, internal links).
  • Saves the full report as a page in your Notion content database and posts the top actions, with a link to the report, to Slack.

What it needs

  • A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
  • An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
  • Google Sheets, Notion and Slack, connected in Settings → Integrations.
  • Your rankings in a Google Sheet tab: a Search Console export (Compare mode gives previous positions) or a rank tracker export, refreshed weekly by you or a Sheets add-on.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't check Google or Bing rankings itself or pull data from SEO tools; it analyzes the sheet you keep current.
  • It doesn't see competitors' rankings or search volumes unless they are in your sheet.
  • It doesn't publish content or change your site; briefs go to Notion for your team.

Availability and plans

Available

Its workflow is built and tested, and every app it needs is live. You can get it and set it up now.

Included free on the Enterprise plan; on other paid plans it's a one-time purchase per workspace (the price is on the Agents page). The Agents page in the app always shows its current status.

Before you start

  • A paid plan: agents run live, and the Free plan only runs Dry Runs.
  • An AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more) in Settings → AI Providers. AI usage is billed by your provider.
  • These apps, connected in Settings → Integrations: Google Sheets, Notion and Slack.
  • Nothing to send: the agent runs on a schedule.
  • About 20 minutes.

Set it up step by step

Get the agent first (buy it, or it's already yours when your plan includes it), then in Agents → My agents press “Set up this agent”. That creates the agent's workflow in your workspace (it counts towards your plan's workflow limit) and opens the canvas with a setup checklist above it. Each item links to the exact place to go and ticks itself off when it's done.

1. Connect your AI provider

The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.

2. Connect Google Sheets

Connect the Google account that can open your rankings sheet (Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets).

3. Connect Notion

Connect Notion and share your content database with Fluxo Flow (••• → Connections in Notion).

4. Connect Slack

Connect the Slack workspace your team uses (Settings → Integrations → Slack).

5. Pick the rankings sheet

Open “Read your rankings sheet”, pick your Google account, paste the spreadsheet link and choose the tab. In Search Console use Performance → Compare (last 7 days vs previous) → Export to keep this tab current.

SettingWhat to enterIn step
Google accountThe Google account that can open the rankings sheet. Pick your connected Google Sheets account.“Read your rankings sheet”
Rankings spreadsheetPaste the link of the spreadsheet that holds your Search Console or rank tracker export.“Read your rankings sheet”
Tab with the latest rankingsThe tab whose first row is the header (Query, Page, Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Position, and ideally Previous position), e.g. “Rankings”.“Read your rankings sheet”

6. Describe your site

Open “Find drops, quick wins and content gaps” and replace the placeholder with your site, audience, topics and competitors.

SettingWhat to enterIn step
Your site, audience and competitorsReplace the placeholder with your site address, what you sell, who you write for, the topics you want to rank for and your main competitors. It starts as “[DESCRIBE YOUR SITE, AUDIENCE AND COMPETITORS HERE]” until you replace it.“Find drops, quick wins and content gaps”

7. Pick the Notion database

Open “Save the report in Notion” and pick your account and content database.

SettingWhat to enterIn step
Notion accountThe Notion workspace with your content database. Pick your connected Notion account.“Save the report in Notion”
Notion content databaseThe database the weekly report pages go into (share it with Fluxo Flow in Notion: ••• → Connections). Its title property should be “Name”.“Save the report in Notion”

8. Pick the Slack account and channel

Open “Post the summary to Slack” and pick your account and channel. Invite the app to private channels first (/invite @Fluxo Flow).

SettingWhat to enterIn step
Slack accountThe Slack workspace the summary is posted to. Pick your connected Slack account.“Post the summary to Slack”
Slack channelPick the channel your marketing or content team reads, e.g. #seo.“Post the summary to Slack”

9. Test it with Dry Run

Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.

10. Switch the trigger on

Open the trigger, set your time zone and switch the schedule on. It runs every Monday at 7:00.

How it works

The agent is a normal workflow with 6 steps (1 AI step). You can open, edit and monitor it like any other workflow.

  • Every Monday at 7:00 — Runs on a schedule (cron 0 7 * * 1, UTC — change it in the trigger's settings). Runs once a week, after your Search Console data for last week is in the sheet.
  • Read your rankings sheet — Google Sheets: Read rows. Reads the tab with your latest Search Console (or rank tracker) export: query, page, clicks, impressions, CTR and position.
  • Find drops, quick wins and content gaps — AI step (runs on your AI provider key). AI compares positions, spots ranking drops, page-two quick wins and queries without a matching page, and writes a prioritized plan with article briefs.
  • Save the report in Notion — Notion: Create a page in a database. Creates a page in your Notion content database with the full review and this week's article briefs.
  • Post the summary to Slack — Slack: Post a message. Once the report is saved, posts the headline numbers, the top three actions and the link to the Notion report to your marketing channel.
  • Review filed — Kept in the run history. The run history keeps the full analysis for your records.

Test it with Dry Run

Press Dry Run in the canvas. The agent runs on the sample data stored on its trigger (the “Sample data for Dry Run” box), so you can check every step's output before anything is live.

  • Nothing is sent or written: app actions, emails and Slack posts are simulated, and AI steps don't call your AI provider.

Go live

  • Open the trigger, set your time zone and switch the schedule on. It runs every Monday at 7:00.
  • Scheduled runs start only once the schedule is activated, and can't repeat faster than your plan's minimum interval.
  • The setup checklist adds a “paid plan” item before activation: live runs need a paid plan (the Free plan only runs Dry Runs).
  • When every checklist item is done and the trigger is on, the checklist says “Live — this agent is running”. Follow its runs in the workflow's History tab and in Analytics → Agents.

Questions

Does it check Google rankings itself?

No. It analyzes the rankings you export from Search Console or your rank tracker into the sheet. Use Search Console's Compare mode so drops can be spotted.

How big can the sheet be?

Keep it to your top few hundred queries; very large sheets make the AI step slow and costly.

Troubleshooting

  • “No AI provider connected” or a rejected key: connect or fix the key in Settings → AI Providers, then press Test there.
  • A checklist item stays unticked: the setting is still empty or still contains its placeholder text. Open the step from the checklist and fill it in.
  • An app step fails with “Needs reconnect”: the account's access was revoked or expired. Reconnect it in Settings → Integrations.
  • Slack says the app isn't in the channel: in Slack, type /invite @Fluxo Flow in that channel (always needed for private channels).
  • It didn't run at the expected time: the schedule must be activated, and its time is in the trigger's timezone.
  • A step failed: open the run in History and check that step in the Trace tab for the error and what it received.
